Tree Pruning
Pruning is a
necessary part of a healthy
tree's life. Pruning can go a
long way to preserving the health
and beauty of a tree. A properly
pruned tree will add curb appeal
to any property. A property where
all the trees are properly
maintained will add significant
beauty to the property while
protecting structures under the
trees.
Goals of
Pruning
There are
basically two goals to proper
tree pruning. The first goal
is to eliminate hazards that
may place your family or your
property in danger. By
identifying and eliminating
potential threats our
arborists will significantly
increase the safety of your
property. The second goal is
to prune for proper
maintenance. This type of
pruning helps to preserve the
lifespan of your trees while
maintaning the shape and curb
appeal.
Why
Prune?
There are many
different types of pruning
that fall under the goals
mentioned above. For example
You may want to open up a
view that years of overgrown
trees have blocked but you
still want to preserve your
trees. This type of pruning
is called vista pruning. Or
you may be wanting to bring
more light to your lawn
through crown thinning
techniques that help to
increase overall light and
air circulation for your
trees and lawn. Often our
customers simply need to
prune trees that are growing
too close to structures. This
is the most often requested
and most often abused type of
pruning. Improper pruning has
been responsible for the
weakening or death of many
trees over the years. Special
care must be given to proper
pruning techniques regardless
of the reason for
pruning.
